All papers chosen for publication should be innovative research work in the field of maize genomics and maize genetics, including classical genetics analysis, structural and functional analysis of maize genome, isolation and identification of growth/development trait-controlling genes in maize at the genome-wide, maize gene expression regulation and its functional analysis, the development of transgenic maize, as well as maize varietal improvement and its application in maize production.

The primary criterion for publication is new insights that are not only of broad interest to maize breeders, geneticist, and molecular biologists, but are also appropriate for teachers or students or researchers engaged in biology, and readers interested in maize genomics and maize genetics.
